Environment And Spirituality: A Pilgrimage to the Kii Mountains of Japan Exhibition Opening

Going to a Fine Arts college is the best. It was the only kind of place I knew I wanted to go after high school. My first day was scary, I didn't really know where to get off the bus, so I made the executive decision to just follow the little cluster of people who looked like me. It worked. Now, COFA feels like another home, from the common room filled with ugly floral couches, to the 'artworks' along the corridors which you're never really sure are just someone being funny, or someone actually displaying their artworks, to the curry shop across the road and the smell of acrylics drifting down the stairs and out the door.
And then there's all these talented people you meet every single day.
Last night, one of my favourite friends at uni presented his work as part of a group art exhibition of students who attended an intensive elective course in Japan over the Christmas break. He is ridiculous. His photos, in that book of his, are ridiculous. Ridiculously good.
